Stories of Place anthology

The Melbourne launch event took place at 6pm on 10 April, 2025 at Glenroy Library, 150 Wheatsheaf Road, Glenroy.

Catherine has two stories in this anthology of short fiction called Stories of Place: ///Zinc.level.blindfold. The book explores the universality of the human condition and features nine international writers. Launches of Stories of Place took place on 10th April, 2025, in Florida, Ireland, Barbados, Perth and London, as well as Melbourne. The book can be ordered through Readings Bookstores, Angus & Robertson, Booktopia, Amazon and Black Rose Writing. It will also be produced in Kindle and audiobook versions.

The stories span the genres of thriller, adventure, mystery, coming-of-age, LGBTIQA+ and literary fiction. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the rugged landscapes of the Australian bush to the Mexican-American border and the Dublin suburbs of Ireland, this anthology offers unique global perspectives.

Panellist/facilitator/teacher

Catherine has taught courses and facilitated workshops in Screenwriting, Introduction to Fiction Writing, Short Story Writing, Drawing and Filmmaking. She has been a moderator for panels for Melbourne International Film Festival and a panellist for Melbourne International Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, St Kilda Film Festival and Melbourne Queer Film and Video Festival. She is available as a speaker or panellist for writing events.
